How To Setup Rapsodo MLM2Pro: Quick Easy Instructions

You have just bought a brand new Rapsodo MLM2Pro launch monitor, and you’re excited to get swinging. The only problem is you can’t get this thing set up! Relax I got you. I will walk you through this step by step so you understand how to setup Rapsodo MLM2Pro.

Step 1: Charge Your Device

When you open the box your Rapsodo MLM 2 Pro will not be fully charged, before it can be used you will need to fully charge the device. To charge your device, follow these steps:

1. Plug in the device and let it charge, this can take up to 4 hours.
2. While charging the Rapsodo MLM 2 Pro will have an amber light. When the device is fully charged the light will turn off.

Step 2: Download the MLM 2 Pro App

The next step is to download the MLM 2 Pro app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Open the App Store or Google Play Store on your phone or tablet.
2. Search for “MLM2 Pro” and select the app from the search results.
3. Tap “Install” to download and install the app on your device.
4. Create a new account on the app.

If you already have the app installed, make sure it is up to date.

Step 3: Register Your Rapsodo MLM2Pro

3. Select “Yes” to the WiFi Network question.
4. The app will confirm a successful connection, click on “start a session”
5. A prompt will instruct you to download the Firmware Update, select “Download”
6. When the download is complete, you will be asked to install the update, select yes.
7. The download will start, and during this time the LED on the device will flash white.
8. Once the download is complete the device the LED on the device will turn red.

Step 5: Setup Rapsodo MLM2Pro Distance

To properly setup Rapsodo MLM2Pro it is recommended to purchase a Rapsodo MLM 2 Pro Stand to ensure that the Rapsodo MLM 2 Pro is level, and properly aligned to your target.

1. Find a level ground to setup Rapsodo MLM2Pro.  
2. Place the MLM 2 Pro about 6.5 to 8.5 feet directly behind the ball.
3.  Use an alignment line on top of the device or a laser to aim directly at your intended target line.
4.  If the MLM 2 Pro is in range mode, you need at least 30 yards of ball flight.
5. If the MLM 2 Pro is in net mode, you need at least 8 feet of ball flight between you and the net or screen. 
6. Remove any obstructions in front of the radar or camera. 

Step 6: Start a Practice Session

Now that your device is connected, and properly placed you can start a practice session. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Set up a practice session by selecting play mode, and select “net” or “range”
2. Choose ball type range, premium or Rapsodo RPT
3. Set the desired elevation for accurate data.

Step 7: Set Target Line

When starting a session, it is important to align the device properly and ensure you have a clear understanding of what your target is.

The alignment aid on the top of the device is helpful when first setting the device up, however, once you start a session, you will see the MLM 2 Pro Shot Vision camera give you and exact view of your hitting area and target line.

If you need to realign the MLM2Pro during your session, select “View Alignment” in the session settings and the live stream will be displayed on screen.

Step 8: Set Hitting Area

The MLM 2 Pro requires specific ball placement to allow the cameras to pick up each shot. When setting your target line, you will see the ‘Hitting Area’. This yellow dotted line shows you where you can place the ball so it is visible by the Impact Vision camera of the MLM2Pro. When the ball is correctly in the hitting area the MLM2Pro should register each shot.

If indoors make sure you are hitting in a well-lit environment.

Step 9: Setup Dual Camera

Next, set up your phone or tablet on a tripod in the desired position. Now the view on the phone or tablet will appear on the right hand side of your practice session.

This works very well to give you a view of your swing from the back with the MLM2 Pro, and then a side view using the phone or tablet. Seeing your swing from both angles is an amazing way to watch your form.
